BioI have been belly dancing for 27 years, in the SCA for 15 years with a Middle Eastern persona. Also, I have a BA in Arab Studies..one would think I was an arabphile. One would be right.
Dancing had gone on the back burner for the past few years as first Gilmoure then Miriam came into my life. How does the song go. "First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Kathy pushing the baby carriage".
We moved to New Mexico this year and I am fortunate enough to be living very close to a nationally known dancer that I have always admired, so, I am taking classes again.
During the hiatus from dance, I rediscovered my childhood love of weaving. And branched out to spinning and natural dyeing.
